  I want to commend the team, in particular Theresa Burger, for the excellent service and assistance provided to attain emergency travel documentation for my family. It took exactly 1 week from posting the request in Perth to receiving it back in Perth, all approved and ready to use. Thanks a million, it is truly appreciated.   First of all no one picks up the phone. I have called multiple times over the last week and the number just rings out. Then finally when my call is answered I have the pleasure to speak to this lady who is most definitely the rudest woman ever. My call has since been answered 3 times and it is always her! Doesn't have the skills to have a normal courteous conversation, let alone answer general questions I called for. You guys need to let her go asap as she is bringing your reputation down!

  3 - 6 months for a passport, while it actually takes 2 weeks to do on the SA side. Discrimination at it's best against SA citizens living outside SA borders

  Passport application was so backwards. The police here don't even keep ink fingerprints and the SA authorities don't accept digital prints. I found one police station an hour drive away which kept ink prints. You contact the centre and the lady on the phone is so rude. "I am on my lunch break" well why answer the phone yoi idiot. The whole process is so off-putting that I have decided to just remain a sole Australian citizen. Maybe when this incompetent government get voted out in 2019, things will change.

  We had a meeting at the embassy yesterday to have numerous documents authenticated and to apply for a renewal of my passport. I must be admit that this was the best experience that I have ever had dealing with any South African government agency. We were assisted 5min before our appointment time by Crystal and her team who were nothing but friendly, efficient and professional. I will highly recommend their services to anyone requiring documents to be authenticated instead of paying ridiculous fees to notary's in Sydney.
